The Merrivale Cricket Club is more than just a club that strives to put a team on the field and win games of cricket. Although we attribute a big part of our success to winning premierships, we understand a good team will win a flag, but a great club will a culture and environment to keep everyone enjoying our great game
Our Goals
The Merrivale Cricket Club's overall aim is to become one of the premier clubs in the area.
This encompasses:
- Great facilities
- Supportive executive/committee & coaching staff
- Junior program full of encouragement and promotes curiosity to learn
- Talented players both young, mature and older
- Environment for members of all genders, ages and backgrounds
- A home thats not just about being a good cricketer, but a good person
Vision
Over the coming years, we would like to see womans cricket come to Merrivale and that has started with Woolworths Blast and under 11s where we have been able to introduce some young girls to Merrivale cricket. There are already some great woman involved at our club and now we wish to give the next generation of girls the chance to being able learn the game. This along with continuing to improve our facilities alongside the other Rec. Res. users will play key parts to becoming a premier club.
